Thank you to all the donors and supporters of WAPI’s 6th Annual Kingpin Classic! We had a great time and raised over $6700 for WAPI Community Services!
The sixth annual Kingpin Classic occurred on March 17, 2012 at AMF Imperial Lanes in South Seattle. Over sixty supporters bowled and helped raise funds for WAPI’s prevention and drug treatment services.
After three hours of bowling, cheering, mingling and even friendly competition, the Piggyback Bandits came out as this year’s Kingpin champions raising over $1800 from their team alone.
The Top Rawmen were the highest scoring team with a team average of 135. They also came in second place in fundraising, bringing in $1300 for WAPI!
The Mini-Maddies did not sound mini at all being the most spirited team at the classic. They cheered each other on and helped bring a festive mood to the event. The Mini-Maddies also brought in $770 in donations for WAPI!
Shane Harvey and WAPI Board President Jerilyn Young were the high scorers of the day. Shane bowled a 186 and Jerilyn bowled a 167! Just an FYI, that was Jerilyn’s all time highest bowling score! Ever. Congratulations!
Thank you to all who came out! Special thanks to Maddie, the Kingpin coordinator and our volunteers Lea Bonoan and Lily Garcia.
More pictures to come soon.
